The era of apps and social networks have, in theroy, made a previously unthinkable amount of information available to everyone, anywhere at any time (provided they have Internet access).
In reality it has has an almost opposite effect, users cherry pick their news feeds and tailor the information they want to their needs, creating an even narrower viewpoint than before…

Electronic music desperately needs that ‘incubation’ period back that the Internet stole…just quiet time where new sounds can develop and mutate on their own terms without being gassed up by the hype machine.
